THE COMMITTEE

Assalamalaikum

At the AGM held in April 2019, I, Saleem Mehar was re-elected as the Chairman to lead the newly elected BEAMA Committee for the next two years. This is a privilege and honour and I will endeavour to live up to the members expectations.

BEAMA is now in its eighth year. For the past two years, Farouk Malik, has done superbly as Chairman together with his Committee. They have worked extremely hard to achieve the goals set. Events such as the Ladies Darras, musical evenings, Summer BBQs, trip to the seaside and the Annual Dinner brought the members together.  Apart from the social functions BEAMA has also been active in arranging Qurbani in Kenya during the EID-uI-Adha festival in partnership with Central Jamia Masjid, Southall . The efforts of Farouk Malik and the committee are highly appreciated.

We will continue to develop our objectives, forge partnerships with other similar organisations to enhance our social and welfare activities and continue to build upon our enviable reputation. We will try and encourage greater youth participation, which to date has been challenging . The future is in our Youth and every effort will be made to get them more involved.

I shall be leading a new Committee. We welcome Saqib Ahmed and Rizwah Sheikh into the Committee, but are sad to see Saira Qureishi and Ruksana Ibrahim leave. We wish them both the very best.

I look forward to seeing you at all our future events.
